Thwaites welcome MP and Attorney General, Jeremy Wright to the factory.

Attorney General Jeremy Wright Visit Thwaites Factory Ahead of this week’s Budget.

We were delighted to welcome local MP and Attorney General, Jeremy Wright QC, to the factory as part of our 80years of manufacturing celebration.

Touring the factory with Thwaites MD Ian Brown, the MP was keen to meet the team and understand more about how each Dumper is engineered and manufactured on site, inaddition to learning how product development and innovation, has ensured brand endurance and prosperity for those 80 years.

Over £1m has been invested recently in new automated welding and cutting machines improving productivity and reducing waste.

‘Construction remains an important economic sector and Thwaites have made an important contribution to it for 80 years now. It’s great to see high quality manufacturing thriving here and I hope the Government will continue to create the environment in which it can continue to do so, not least at the Budget this week.
