Thwaites at the Executive Hire Show 2023

Thwaites is a stalwart supporter of the Executive Hire Show, exhibiting as we have, at each show since the event was launched back in 2007, some 16 years ago.

Thwaites designed and built the world’s first ever site dumper back in 1951, a major product innovation of the day that remains an onsite essential to this day, 72 years later.

At the 2023 Executive Hire Show Thwaites were pleased to innovate once more and show a world’s first.

This year Thwaites presented visitors to the show with an exclusive look at an all new, all electric, 3-tonne dumper. Designed specifically for the hire and contractor market the machine has been manufactured to offer the same build quality, robust design and engineering excellence that is ubiquitous across the Thwaites range. The latest product to enter the dumper range was, as ever, built at the company’s Leamington Spa factory.

The 3-tonne electric machine displayed was an advanced concept machine, with the go to market version being available later in 2023.

Thwaites also displayed the ubiquitous and hirers favourite 1-tonne Hi-Tip dumper. This ever popular product attracted interest and indeed orders from the stand, from both Thwaites distributors, BTE Plant Sales and Shellplant. Both welcomed their respective customers for an informal chat and fresh coffee, served by the Thwaites on-stand Barista.

Hirebase MD Adrian Watts, attended the stand with BTE Plant Sales MD Rebecca Bryson to sign a deal for 50 1-tonne Hi-Tip machines.

Visitors to the Thwaites stand were also entertained by artist in residence Ian Cook, from Coventry based Popbang Colour who sketched an array of continuous line drawings. Look out for more from Popbang this spring.
