Jim Dicker Declares on 800 Not Out.

Jim Dicker the approved Thwaites distributor for Sussex and Surrey, has announced that he is to retire at the end of 2021.

Since 1998 Jim Dicker Plant Sales has offered sales and service to the plant hire, construction and landscaping markets. That array of construction equipment includes Kobelco, Ammann, Dieci and Kaeser. In 2016 the business joined the Thwaites distributor family.

During a very successful 5 years Jim has overseen sales of 800 Thwaites machines.

Speaking after the announcement Jim said, “I have really enjoyed working in the industry. I have met many friends and formed many allegiances. Timing is everything in business, so with a strong market over the past few years I have been able to plan my retirement and exit from the commercial world. I have also taken the decision to retire the business, enabling my family and I to look forward to what we trust will be a full and enjoyable period”.

Thwaites General Manager of Sales Andy Sabin said, “It has been a real pleasure working with Jim these last 5 years, we have collaborated closely to ensure we supported the market and created the opportunity to grow market share in the area. Whilst Jim represented one of our more compact distributors, the passion and drive Jim brought to the business was great to see and share”.

So 800 not out, we thank Jim and Suzanne Dicker for being our partners, for the relationship and the fun we had along the way. We look forward to celebrating soon, in the traditional way, as we wish them both a very happy and rewarding retirement…you deserve it.

Thwaites will soon be announcing the distributor rearrangement to manage future sales in this area.
